Dr. Foley joined Brenau University in 2013. She received an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University, a Master of Science in Instructional Systems Technology, and a PhD in Higher Education from Indiana University-Bloomington. A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Foley has worked in staff and leadership roles within the rehabilitation arena with extensive experience in the neurorehabilitation of adults and older adults. She has held various academic positions in Massachusetts, Indiana, and Alabama. Her current teaching responsibilities in the entry-level programs include clinical conditions, the adult and older adult assessment and application courses as well as thesis and capstone supervision.

In scholarly activity, Dr. Foley explores on maximizing occupational performance in older adults. Following post-doctoral training in health disparities, she received intramural grant funding to investigate toileting disparities among older Black residents in skilled nursing facilities. In addition, Dr. Foley has presented at the state and national level on a variety of topics including fieldwork and interprofessional teams. Active in state and national professional organizations, she was the past president of the Indiana OT association and Secretary of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
