Allow enough time to complete this process before the beginning of the semester in which you intend to enroll.
What do I need to do to be considered for admission to Brenau? All applications are reviewed for admissions based on a number of factors including but not limited to grade point average, rigor of course work, official test scores and community and school involvement. The average student who receives acceptance has at least a 2.5 GPA and, if applicable, at least a 900 on the SAT and at least a 19 on the ACT (Verbal and Math scores only, we do not include the writing score). These scores do not in any way guarantee acceptance, nor are they absolute minimums, they are simply guidelines.

Does Brenau accept home school students? Brenau Welcomes applications from home schooled students. We do require an admissions interview and will look more closely at test scores when making admissions decision.
Does Brenau accept GED’s and technical prep diplomas? Yes, Brenau welcomes GED and tech prep diplomas. With a GED we require an official copy of the GED certificate in a sealed envelope. We also require either SAT or ACT scores.
How long does it take to get an admissions decision? Once an admissions file is complete it takes 7-10 business days to be notified of a decision. A “complete file” includes a high school transcript and official test scores (for freshman applicants) and transcripts from ALL INSTITUTIONS ATTENDED SINCE HIGH SCHOOL and test scores if required (for transfer students). Each file is unique and may require additional credentials.
