Gabrielle Wagner, mezzo-soprano, will perform selections featuring music by Ravel and 20th-century American opera composers Menotti, Bernstein and Ben Moore.

Bobby Reidling, Senior Recital

Theatre on the Square, Brenau Downtown Center

Bobby Reidling, baritone – joined by Jennifer Skidmore, soprano, Nicholas Whitmire, tenor, and Julie Brady, piano – will perform musical selections by Mozart, Bizet, Handel and Schubert.

Haven Clippinger, soprano, will perform musical selections by Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and Fauré, eaturing music featuring texts of Shakespeare.

The Brenau Vocal Chamber Ensemble along with the Chestatee High School Advanced Women’s Ensemble will present a delightful program of choral music to “sing you to sleep.” Bobby Ivey and Lisa Bassett, directors.

International Week Dance and Music Event:

Brenau University’s Department of Dance and Department of Music are collaborating to celebrate the Celtic sounds of Ireland with an exciting concert filled with traditional music, singing, and dancing. This concert is a part of International Week celebrated across Brenau’s campus with lectures, workshops, food tasting, and so much more.

Brenau University Gospel Choir, under the direction of Portia Burns, hosts its second Mass Choir Workshop and Concert. The workshop is open to community singers, faculty and staff who wish to learn more about the techniques of gospel singing. The concert will present that work in Highest Praise. Admission: $5.

 


Brenau Gospel Experience Audition Finals

Spectrum Winds Plus HONORS Recital

Spectrum Winds ensemble, Director Dr. Tamika Sterrs-Howard, and juried soloists from the Department of Music celebrate the culture of Ireland in a variety of genres and styles.

Brenau Holiday Concert

Monday, November 26

7:30 p.m.

Hosch Theatre, John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts

This collaboration will feature a presentation of Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols performed by Brenau’s Vocal Chamber Ensemble, directed by Bobby Ivey, and students from the Department of Dance, choreographed by Madia Cooper-Ashirifi. Other Christmas favorites will be performed by Spectrum Singers and the Cresswind Community Chorus, directed by Chuck Bridwell.
