This is the 26th year that Gainesville Parks and Recreation Foundation will host a butterfly release event for the community. This is a well-loved family tradition passed down through generations. Traditionally families have gathered in one of the parks in Gainesville, GA and butterflies are released. Children and adults alike are always in awe of this connection with our natural world.
