Billi Bromer, Ed.D.

Dr. Billi L. Bromer is a professor of education. She has been a teacher educator at Brenau since 2006, following almost two decades as an early childhood special educator. Dr. Bromer teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Brenau’s online educator preparation program, including psychology and educational foundations courses. She is a member of multiple professional organizations related to education and child development. And, she has also presented numerous papers at state, national and international educational conferences on a variety of topics related to educator preparation, child development, and online teaching.

Dr. Bromer has authored multiple book chapters on a range of topics and recently co-edited the Handbook of Research on Learner-centered Practices in an Age of Transformational Change. Her research interests include social-emotional learning, generational differences in higher education teaching and learning, social presence in online learning, and the importance of a liberal arts education. She is a member of the university’s General Education Reform Team and Research Symposium Committee. When she is not teaching online, Dr. Bromer enjoys visiting the South Carolina mountains, reading nonfiction books, and volunteering in her community.
