Spring 2017 – San Miguel de Allende Trip
TRIP DATE: Spring Break 2017 – February 25 to March 4, 2017
Tour the historic city of San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico with buildings dating from the 17th and 18th century. Visit the Mesoamerican archeological site, Canada de la Virgen. Ride a scenic incline railway. Visit the Museum of Diego Rivera and the Don Quixote Museum of Art. Shop in the unique shops of San Miguel de Allende, an artisan community known for their unique artists and art venues. Enjoy free time exploring Guanajuato City, which was once known for two-thirds of the world’s production of silver. This city was named a World Heritage Site in 1988.

Participants must be enrolled in one of the following courses during the spring semester to attend. ED 206. ED 208, ED 250, ED 301, ED 308, ED 311, ED 328, ED 345, ED 413, ED 418, SE 300, GY 201, SH 101, SH 102.
The trip will count for one assignment or exam within each of the courses the students is enrolled from the list above, i.e. the final exam in ED 308. Students will contract with their instructors about how an assignment or activity during the trip will replace one within their coursework.
