MBA Finance

The MBA in Finance provides graduates with the skills they need to progress into upper management or the field of finance. Students will explore the major areas of the field including investments, valuation, risk management and international finance. The Finance MBA is a 15 course, 45 credit hour degree program which leads to a Masters in Business Administration degree and a certificate in Finance.  Students interested in learning more should click here.  To apply, visit

Brenau also offers the option to students who already hold a graduate degree to earn the Finance Certificate by completing the five required courses in the Finance Concentration curriculum.


Preparatory Courses

To enhance their success in the program, students are required to take BA 500 MBA Foundations (3 hours) and BA507 Introduction to Business Communications (3 hours).  These courses must be completed before starting the other MBA coursework.


The core curriculum is taught online or at one of our five campuses.  There are eight courses in the MBA core curriculum (24 hours):

Program Director

Finance Program Director, Dr. Suzanne Erickson, holds a Ph.D. and Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an MBA from Seattle University.  Before joining Brenau, she was Executive Director of Spring Hill College in Atlanta and taught at Seattle University for seventeen years.  Dr. Erickson’s research interests include entrepreneurial financing, executive compensation, and corporate finance.
