Humnath Panta, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Finance Humnath Panta earned a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree in financial economics from Ohio University. He also earned a master’s degree in international relations and trade from Monash University, Australia.
With a decade of classroom experience, Panta teaches a variety of courses, including corporate finance, managerial finance, investments, risk management, advanced financial statement analysis, financial accounting, managerial accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics and international trade. He also has more than two years of corporate experience as a finance controller as well as several years of work experience in the government arena.
Panta, a native of Nepal, is a dedicated teacher, an active scholar and an effective mentor for students with diverse backgrounds, preparation and career goals. His teaching interests include corporate finance, investments and risk management. His current research interests include corporate governance, investments and real estate investments.
