William (Bill) Haney, Ph.D.

Dr. Bill Haney has been at Brenau University since August 2000. Bill is currently the lead professor for the graduate program in organizational leadership and the former dean of the College of Business & Mass Communication. He earned an M.S. degree in counseling psychology and human systems from Florida State University. He also holds an M.B.A. degree from Golden Gate University with an emphasis in management and a Ph.D. in higher education with an emphasis in business administration from Florida State University. Dr. Haney is currently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Boston and is in the process of earning a graduate certificate in the discipline of Critical and Creative Thinking. Dr. Haney teaches in the areas of organizational behavior, strategic thinking and innovation, team building, critical and creative thinking, leadership, managerial communication, and management principles. He is a private consultant, author, and licensed clinical psychotherapist in Florida and Georgia. For both business and pleasure, Haney has traveled and studied in France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Vatican, Liechtenstein, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and to about half of the states in the United States. Please note: Dr. Haney has been awarded a Faculty Sabbatical for the Spring Semester 2016 to complete his studies at the University of Massachusetts. He will return to Brenau University in August 2016.
