Federal Perkins Loan Counseling
If you are awarded the Federal Perkins Loan, the money will be posted directly to your student account. You will be required to come by the Business Office and sign a promissory note for the amount you have been awarded. The Federal Perkins Loan is regulated by the Federal Government, and Brenau is responsible for meeting the requirements set forth by the government. Those requirements include: having all students sign the promissory note and having an entrance interview and a mandatory exit interview with all students. If you are graduating or leaving Brenau and you have received the Perkins Loan, you must do an exit interview with Kristi Sneddon. Kristi Sneddon can be reached at (770) 531-3137. Questions regarding how to qualify for the Perkins Loan can be answered in the office of Scholarships and Financial Assistance at (770) 534-6152.
Financial Aid covers tuition & fees and books (if requested). The remaining financial aid will be refunded to the student. Students must select a refund preference through Higher One at www.myonemoney.com.
Select Your Refund Preference through HigherOne with one of the following options:
• HigherOne Checking Account
• Deposit to another Bank Account (ACH Transfer)
