What about the milkweed?

Milkweed is known as a “pollinator plant” because it attracts butterflies — which, in turn, help other desirable plants reproduce by pollinating them.

We bought milkweed seeds online, and most of them are sprouting right now. But considering the carnage caused by the local deer population when the wildflowers germinated, I (R.K.) decided to raise the plants in a safe location.  They will be planted on site in August and doused with deer repellent.
