Psychology major, Leigh Richards, is presenting at the Southeastern Women´s Studies Association Conference being held in April, 2009 at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Leigh will be one of several students presenting at the conference. She is working with Dr. Maria Zayas in the Psychology Department and Dr. Heather Casey, Director of the Brenau Women´s Center to develop her topic of Ecofeminism. Leigh has explored this topic in various of her classes here at Brenau with Dr. Zayas and Dr. Casey, and is now quite an expert in this newly emerging field. Leigh´s talk will be part of the forum: "There´s Ecofeminism in them thar hills!" |
