Master of Science in Occupational Therapy

 Prerequisites | Course Catalog

Professional Entry (MSOT)

The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy caters to students with prior bachelor's degrees in other fields. Students in this professional entry program are required to meet specific program prerequisites, but are not required to meet Brenau's undergraduate general education requirements. No GRE or MAT scores are required

Both the combined BS/MS and MSOT programs take three years to complete and include professional Preparation coursework, graduate coursework, and a thesis. Graduates from this accredited program will have completed six months of fulltime fieldwork, which is required to sit for the national certification examination.

Steps To Admission

First, apply to Brenau University Women's College. A supplemental OT application must also be completed. You are also encouraged to submit applications for financial aid as soon as you are admitted to Brenau.

Second, wait for a letter that notifies you of your acceptance to Brenau University.

Third, contact your advisor and work out your timeline for beginning the program. As students can only start one time per year, the application process and advisement concerning prerequisites should take place two semesters prior to starting the program. Call 770-534-6139 or 800-252-5119 ext. 6139 to make an appointment.

Admission decisions are made several times a year.  Those admitted are required to make a deposit to confirm attendance.
