Prerequisites  for the combined BS/MS degree in OT

The BS/MS occupational therapy program requires a total of five years, over three phases:

  • Prerequisite liberals arts and sciences coursework (2 years)

  • Undergraduate occupational therapy coursework (2 years)

  • Graduate occupational therapy coursework (1 year)

Students are required to complete all program phases, although comparable coursework from other universities is accepted to meet prerequisite requirements.

Social / Behavioral Psychology

PY 101 General Psychology
PY 202 Human Growth and Development
Py 409 Abnormal Psychology
AY 101 Introduction to Anthropology or SY 101 Introduction to Sociology

Lab Science

Cy 103 Principles of Chemistry (Note: CY 121 is acceptable for transfer students.)
BY 209 Anatomy and Physiology I

Additional Program Requirements

CS 100 Computer Competency
BY 210 Anatomy and Physiology II
MS 205 Introduction to Statistics
One of the following:
AR 115 Ceramics I
