From the Dean
Good news!  It is not too late to apply to Brenau University.  Please review the Brenau web pages to explore the ARTS and HUMANITIES at BRENAU!   Are you interested in becoming an art teacher or a lawyer?  Have you considered majoring in Art Education?  At Brenau, you can study the arts and experience the arts.  In May 2008, the Art and Design Department will be sponsoring a trip to Italy, home to some of the world’s best art!  Have you considered majoring in Conflict Resolution and Legal Studies?  Students have the opportunity to participate in Mock Mediation Tournaments and Mock Trial Competitions.  Brenau itself is host to one of the tournaments.  The Brenau Invitational Mediation Tournament is scheduled for October 5-6, 2007.  The National Mock Mediation Tournament is tentatively scheduled for November 2-3, 2007, at Drake Law School in Des Moines, Iowa.  Recent graduates of Brenau University have gone on to study law at Stetson University and the University of Georgia.  Click on the Brenau web page to apply to Brenau University.  Brenau University will prepare YOU to live an extraordinary life!

The School of Fine Arts and Humanities at Brenau University is organized into three departments:  

  • Art and Design
  • Performing Arts
  • Humanities

    The Department of Art and Design offers majors in art education, arts management, fashion design, graphic design, interior design, and studio art.

    The Department of Performing Arts includes programs in dance, music, and theatre. The Dance Program offers majors in dance education, dance pedagogy, and dance performance. The Music Program offers majors in music education, music performance (piano and voice), and music. The Theatre Program offers majors in theatre and theatre arts with an emphasis in musical theatre.

    The Department of Humanities offers programs and coursework in English, Foreign Languages (French and Spanish), Gender Studies, Geography, History, International Studies, Legal Studies and Conflict Resolution, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religion.
