Master of Arts in Teaching | Special education | Early childhood | Middle grades education

bulletEarly Childhood and Middle Grades programs focus on the development of reflective teachers who are interested in refining and enhancing their teaching skills.
bulletSpecial Education provides teachers with the skills necessary to work with a broad range of learners with disabilities.
bulletThe graduate student brings to the classroom knowledge of the characteristics of the learner and understanding of the tasks of teaching.
bulletThe Master of Arts in Teaching provides candidates with a baccalaureate degree in biology, chemistry, mathematics, history, political science, English, or theatre with the opportunity to complete a master's program that will lead to initial teaching certification.

The graduate program acts as a facilitator to enhance the knowledge base of the graduate student in applied research, pedagogy, assessment and analysis of the teaching process. The interactive graduate courses encourage inquiry and reflection.
