Journalism    •    Broadcast     •    Public Relations    •    Corporate Communications

Courses focus on the skills and style of both journalist and composition writing. Editing and computer graphic design skills enhance and round out a student's journalist education. Writing skills in various fields of communication are available from that of hard news journalism to broadcast journalism and script writing formats.

The journalism concentration includes the hands-on opportunity to work with Brenau's award-winning newspaper The Alchemist. Internships with local newspapers help to give the students added experience in both writing communication skills and working in an actual deadline situation. These unique opportunities help to refine the skills acquired both in class and from participation in the varied opportunities available with on-campus publications.

In addition to the Mass Communication Major Requirements, students will complete the courses shown at right.
