Reactivation: The Registrar's Office has assumed the task of student record reactivation for students returning to Brenau after an absence. If you are a returning Brenau student and you have:
1) missed more than one semester of enrollment but less than two years - and -
2) not attended another institution
Then you are a candidate for reactivation! It is a simple process and involves completing the Request for Reactivation of File Form and returning it to the Registrar's Office. This form can be scanned and emailed (registrar@brenau.edu) or faxed to (770) 538-4790. There is no charge for this service.

Notice to Brenau Students and Faculty with children:
Faculty, staff and students are not permitted to bring their children to class, work or to leave them unattended at any Brenau facility. This policy is in place to provide an appropriate environment for teaching, working and learning, and to ensure the safety of all concerned. Faculty or staff observing violations of this policy should report them to the Office of the Provost, the Office of the Executive Vice President and CFO or the Human Resources Office on the main campus, or to the campus director at one of Brenau University's off-campus locations.
Brenau University Evening and Weekend College Attendance Policy
Evening and Weekend College students are expected to attend all class meetings particularly the first class meeting. If a student must miss class due to a serious emergency, the student should notify the professor as soon as possible. Students will be responsible for the work missed due to absence from any class period or any portion thereof. Grades will be affected by any absences or tardiness, at the discretion of the professor. Any student who misses more than one class period, or the equivalent (which is 4 hours), must drop the course or receive a failing grade. Students who must withdraw from a course due to absence must complete a drop form.

Students may not register for any course after the 1st class meeting.

Any evening or weekend classes missed due to an institutional decision (e.g. snow) must be made up as follows:

  •         Friday, Saturday, Sunday classes - at the regular class time on the next free weekend

  •         Monday-Thursday classes - at 9 a.m. on the next free Saturday

  •         (see the Academic Calendar for holiday make-up days www.brenau.edu/reg -
            click on "schedules" and then the appropriate academic calendar)

ATTENTION EVENING AND WEEKEND COLLEGE STUDENTS: All New students in the Evening and Weekend College are required to attend an orientation at the beginning of the semester. Days and times will be posted at the campus sites. For more information, please call (770) 534-6119.

Brenau University Online College Attendance Policy
Online classes do not take place at a particular time; the times are flexible, dictated only by the individual schedule of each student. Online students must be “present” in the “virtual classroom (vc)” five of seven days of the week in order to keep up with assignments and participate fully in class discussions. Faculty members are “present” in the vc daily providing a consistent academic challenge.
Important Information about the Privacy and Protection of your Records!
Brenau University is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. This legislation is commonly referred to as "FERPA." This legislation governs the use and distribution of student’s records. A student has the right to refuse to permit the release of directory information. If students choose to exercise the right of refusal, they must do so in writing to the registrar within 30 days of the beginning of each academic semester. Please refer to the current catalog for more information.
