Seniors Perform Trumpet and Voice Recitals
Two Brenau University seniors will appear Saturday in two different types of musical performances in their final recitals as Brenau students.
Tenor Jeff Akana, a music performance major from Suwanee, Ga., will sing. Matt Scout, a music major from Flowery Branch, Ga., will perform with classical selections for trumpet.
The recitals will begin at 7:30 p.m. in historic Pearce Auditorium on the Gainesville campus. The program is free and open to the public.
Scout will perform Johann Baptist Georg Neruda’s Concerto in E-flat major for Trumpet and Strings, 1st movement; Concerto in E-flat major, 2nd movement, by: Franz Joseph Haydn; Sonata for Trumpet and Piano, 1st movement, by Kent Kennan; and Carnival of Venice by Herbert L. Clarke.
