Brenau University President Ed Schrader speaks to Gainesville City Officials, university staff and others at the "move-in" ceremony to the Brenau Downtown Center, formerly the Georgia Mountains Center.

Georgia Mountains Center is Now ‘Brenau Downtown Center’

An informal Brenau Downtown Center “Move-in Ceremony” will be held at 301 Main Street SW, Gainesville, Ga., on Monday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. to usher in the university’s newest expansion.

The ceremony is the first step of the $6.5 million program that involves renovation of the facility to house the university’s planned graduate programs in physical therapy and other professional health care disciplines.

University President Ed Schrader, Gainesville City Mayor Danny Dunagan and other Brenau and city officials will be on hand for photo opportunities and to answer questions. Schrader and Dunagan will both speak in the theater starting at about 10:20 a.m. and a brief tour of the facility, led by Dr. Schrader, will follow their remarks.

Please join us Monday to welcome the center’s 11 employees into the Brenau family, hear about the expansion and take a look at the facility.
