| The
Honors Program at the Women's College of Brenau University begins in the freshman year and is followed throughout
the student's entire college career at Brenau. Special classes reserved
for honors students are taught in an enriched manner, affording these
students an approach to their general education courses which enables
them to study these subjects at an advanced level.
Students enrolled in the Honors Program at Brenau
enjoy the favorable position of participating in smaller, more
challenging classes reserved exclusively for talented students. Students
who successfully complete the program requirements are recognized for
their accomplishment and awarded a special certificate at graduation.
The honors designation is an important element on a resume or
application for graduate school.
Brenau honors students and alumni
have been:
 | elected to numerous campus leadership positions,
awards, and honorary societies |
 | selected for summer study in England at Oxford and
elsewhereselected for fall semester study abroad programs in
Italy and the National Collegiate Honors Council program in Greece |
 | selected for medical schools and law schools
including Mercer, Duke, UGA and Yale |
 | selected for graduate schools in communications,
history, political science, theatre and other fields.
