Professor Devoto is Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator at Brenau University in in both the Gainesville and Norcross campuses. She received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of the South at Sewanee and then went on to get her MSOT and OTD at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Prior to moving to the Atlanta area, Professor Devoto served as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
Professor Devoto has worked in the mental health and rehabilitation arenas and has extensive experience in neurorehabilitation of adults and older adults since 2002, working at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN and the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She has recently worked with service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with MTBI and PTSD, and as a result had the opportunity to work with many practitioners in the military. She contributed to a written toolkit developed for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Speech Therapists working in the military to use as a resource for treating service members with brain injuries.
