Science content and methods courses
I believe in a constructivist approach to teaching and learning in which students build their own knowledge based on their experiences. I provide my students with a variety of ways to experience the content. They read about it, watch videos, search for articles, have group discussions, complete simulations, and answer questions. In my classes, students not only learn from the information, interactions, and experiences that I provide, but they learn from the information, interactions, and experiences that their peers provide as well. This is an enriching experience as most of my classes are made up of students with a wide variety of teaching and learning experiences.
