William S. Lightfoot (‘Bill’), Ph. D. is a Professor of Management, and the Dean of the College of Business & Mass Communication at Brenau University near Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the founding Director of the Universities Discovery Incubator, and is the lead facilitator for the Online Facilitators Certification course. He has over 30 years of experience in business and higher education, and has served in leadership roles for nearly 20 of those years. He previously served as Associate Dean at the International University of Monaco where he was instrumental in helping them achieve a top 100 ranking for their MBA program by the Economist Magazine. He also led the Universities successful pursuit of AMBA Accreditation. His business career included positions in sales, marketing, and product line management for both large corporations, as well as entrepreneurial ventures. He has authored a number of academic and trade articles, which typically combine his interests and experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, and marketing. He has served as an advisor for businesses in Europe, Central America, and the U.S. and on the boards of a number of different organizations. He has delivered lectures on business topics, and higher education in the Middle East, US, Europe, Latin America and Africa. He is also the co-Chair of the annual Masters of Innovation event honoring local entrepreneurs held at the Featherbone Communiversity. He has degrees in Electrical Engineering (Bucknell), General Management (UNC – Chapel Hill), and Organization and Management (Capella).
