ARCHE INTERLIBRARY USE POLICY |
|
| Through the Interlibrary Use (ILU) Program of the Atlanta Regional Commission for Higher Education (ARCHE), Brenau students, faculty, and staff in good standing may obtain limited direct borrowing privileges at other ARCHE libraries. This program is designed to supplement Brenau library resources. This program does not permit the use of another ARCHE library's facilities for general study purposes or because of convenience of location. | |
| An ARCHE card grants you limited direct borrowing privileges at a specific ARCHE library. Each library determines its own borrowing regulations, which you are expected to observe. Each library determines how many books you may borrow, and for how long. Renewal of materials is handled directly by each lending library, according to its own policies. | |

| How to Apply for an ILU Card | |
| You must apply for an ARCHE card in person at the Brenau Trustee Library and must present a valid Brenau ID. Please email library@brenau.edu or call (770)534-6113. | |
| ARCHE cards are issued for a specific ARCHE library. Student cards are valid for one semester and faculty/staff cards are valid for one year. Cards are not transferable and can only be issued to you by the Brenau Trustee Library. You may apply for an ARCHE card whenever the need arises. | |
| Your Responsibilities | |
| You are responsible for the good condition and prompt return of all materials you borrow with your Interlibrary Use card. Materials must be returned directly to the lending library and not the Brenau Trustee Library. | |
| You will be fined directly by the lending library for any overdue, damaged, or lost books. Failure to pay fines, or other abuse of ARCHE Interlibrary Use privileges may result in suspension of those privileges, transfer of outstanding fines to your Brenau account, and/or suspension of your borrowing privileges at the Brenau Trustee Library. | |
