EXTENSION SERVICES |
| A goal of the library is to ensure that students at a distance have access to library services that are comparable to the services available to on-campus students. Check out site specific resources available to students, faculty, and staff members. Online College students, if you live near one of these sites, please check out the services available to that site. |
| Librarians can provide brief information
over the phone, such as giving advice on effective research strategy,
search terms, resources, titles of works, and databases that might be
helpful in your research. Callers should identify themselves as Brenau
students who do not take classes at the Gainesville campus. To speak to
a librarian, please call 1-800-252-5119, ext. 6113 or 770-534-6113 in
the metro area.
If you prefer, you can ask questions and have them answered by a professional librarian via the internet. Please limit questions to those that can be answered with short factual answers. Expect a response within 2 business days. |
| Brenau Trustee Library's Document Delivery Service is available for Brenau faculty, staff, and students taking classes at any one of Brenau's extension campuses and online. Using the request form, users may request delivery of any book owned by the Brenau Trustee Library, any article contained within the Library's extensive periodical collection, or copies of portions of non-circulating materials, such as reference books. Users are charged 10 cents per page to print out or photocopy articles just as if they were on campus. Articles and books are sent directly to the user and the user is responsible for returning items by the due date. Articles and books for Atlanta campus students will be sent down to the Atlanta campus and can be picked up from Teresa Totten, Brenau Trustee Library Extension Services Assistant. |
| Brenau has reciprocal agreements with other libraries surrounding the extension campuses. Please see the Library's web page for your specific site. Online College students, if you live near one of these sites, please check out the services available to that site. |
| Many libraries of all kinds, both public and academic, allow visitors to browse their collections and use materials while in their buildings. When using other libraries, students should do the following: |

| Students visiting other libraries are representatives of Brenau University. When using other libraries and research institutions, please respect their rules and regulations. If you need help locating a library in your area, please contact the Extension Services Librarian (gmorton@brenau.edu). |
