Online classes offer a convenient and challenging learning environment.

Brenau University students enjoy a low student-to-faculty ratio in online classes. Enrollment is capped at 24 students per class due to a high degree of interactivity. Classes are condensed into 7-week sessions and tend to be more rigorous and fast paced than their classroom counterparts.

Students access the virtual classroom via real time Internet gateways utilizing their own Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Blackboard is the platform through which you will access all of your online classes: http://blackboard.brenau.edu. Each of your classes will be listed on the welcome page. Click on a course title, and explore the class site. Materials are presented in a weekly format, which is easy to follow. Students are expected to be present at least five (5) of every seven (7) days while the class is in session. This is a university requirement. Instructors may have particular attendance and participation requirements that exceed this requirement. We recommend that you check in each day to maximize your online learning experience. The weekly total time dedication can exceed that of a traditional class due to the condensed nature of online classes. Please review the Orientation for new online students.
