Important Notes and Changes Regarding Financial Aid
Georgia Student Access Loan 2013-14: The Georgia Student Finance Authority opened the 2013-14 online application process for the Georgia Student Access Loan Program (SAL) at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday May 15, 2013. The application cycle will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013. The SAL Application is available at www.gacollege411.org under “What’s New.” The Student Access Loan is a state-funded student loan program for Georgia undergraduate students who demonstrate additional unmet need after all other available and applicable federal, state, and college financial aid programs have been awarded and accepted. Applications are selected randomly from the state-wide applicant pool. The first cycle of random selection will occur around July 22, 2013. Each applicant’s college or university will determine and certify eligibility for SAL. Detailed program information is available at www.gacollege411.org.
