The Brenau
University Learning and Leisure Institute offers non-credit classes for mature adults looking to stimulate their thinking and expand their knowledge. Many adults are retiring early or are able to take daytime classes and wish to continue their education, so in 1994, BULLI was started to service the community’s citizens.
BULLI offers
a wide diversity of courses from the academic to the technical, from
recreational to the arts. No college experience is needed or required for
membership in BULLI, and neither tests nor grades are given.

Membership Information
Although the
average age of BULLI students is 60, there is no minimum age requirement.
BULLI has students in their 40's and members in their
80's! Members enjoy using the University library and fitness center
and discount meals in the cafeteria. They also have
tremendous input into their institute.
BULLI is member-led and
member-driven. They decide the curriculum, and in many cases, are also the
teachers. They plan their social events. They design
their long range plans for BULLI.
When BULLI
began, there were just 170 members. That number
rapidly increased to nearly
400 active students and has stayed that way
since. The cost is held at a modest membership fee plus an additional fee per course.
You'll find information on the current membership and class rates on
other pages within this website. Ask any BULLI member and they will tell
you that BULLI is the best bargain in town! |
Instructors
Instructors
of BULLI classes are a mix of members of the Brenau faculty, instructors
from other colleges and universities, community experts and
knowledgeable BULLI members.

hiking or dining out? How would you like to take an overseas adventure? We
