Federal Aid

Everyone should apply for financial aid. Don't assume the aid won't be enough for you to afford college, or that you are too wealthy to qualify for aid.

• In order to qualify for federal financial aid, a student must:
• be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
• have a valid Social Security number
• be registered with the selective service (if required)
• be enrolled in a degree or certificate program
• demonstrate financial need (except for some loan programs)
• not owe a refund on a federal grant or be in default on any federal educational loan.
