This
instructional tutorial is meant for those who are in the arts and humanities
field. It contains a few information literacy skills and step-by-step
instructions on using Library resources. Information literacy, defined by
the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) “Information
literacy forms the basis for lifelong learning. It is common to all
disciplines, to all learning environments, and to all levels of education.
It enables learners to master content and extend their investigations,
become more self-directed, and assume greater control over their own
learning.” Taking the time to go through these few tutorials will equip the
user with the requisite skills to conduct university level research and will
prepare our patrons for lifelong learning and participation in an
information-based society. |
