| A goal of the library is to ensure that
students at a distance have access to library services that are comparable
to the services available to on-campus students. Check out site specific
resources available to students, faculty, and staff members. Online
College students, if you live near one of these sites, please check out
the services available to that site. |

|
| Librarians can provide brief information
over the phone, such as giving advice on effective research strategy,
search terms, resources, titles of works, and databases that might be
helpful in your research. Callers should identify themselves as Brenau
students who do not take classes at the Gainesville campus. To speak to a
librarian, please call 1-800-252-5119, ext. 6113 or 770-534-6113 in the
metro area.
If you prefer, you can ask questions and
have them answered by a professional librarian via the internet. Please
limit questions to those that can be answered with short factual answers.
Expect a response within 2 business days. |

| Many libraries of all kinds, both public
and academic, allow visitors to browse their collections and use materials
while in their buildings. When using other libraries, students should do
the following: |
- Present yourself at the library's main
desk (usually the circulation or reference desk)
- Ask what services are available to
guests
- Make yourself aware of the libraries
policies such as borrowing privileges, hours of operation, etc.
|
| Students visiting other libraries are
representatives of Brenau University. When using other libraries and
research institutions, please respect their rules and regulations. If you
need help locating a library in your area, please contact the
Patron Services Librarian (gmorton@brenau.edu). |
